Weekend of Play, Almost

Last time Mimi and Pop came out, we worked, hard! We decided we wanted them to continue to come out, so we went with the work free weekend. They deserved a weekend off, right? Here is what we did for our weekend of play, almost:

• You read about the game on Friday.
• We spent Saturday at the pool.

• Got manicures. At home. Complete with a little sticker bling.
  

• We played lots and lots (so much that I didn't even take pictures).
• Took some naps.

Then Monday came around. We have not had good luck with Mondays. Our brand new A/C was leaking. The guy that put it in won't call us back. For weeks. We made the decision that if we wanted to keep the sheet rock in our bathroom (where it is leaking) we needed to call in someone else to fix the problem.


The guy opened the attic and the first thing out of his mouth was "uh-oh." Not what I wanted to hear after we already spent several thousand dollars installing it.

His final diagnoses: the unit is not level and there needs to be a drip pan under the unit (which makes our house not up to code). His plan: pay them near $800 to fix it! Yikes. Praise the Lord my dad and husband are handy! They leveled it themselves, saving us $250. Seriously. And now that it is no longer leaking, it buys us some time to get the drip pan and have Daddy and some friends come install us. Yea!

Even with the teeny kink in plans, it was great having Mimi and Pop here. We love every minute we share with them. LilE and I are already thrilled about October. We are taking a girl's trip to Texas! We can't wait!!
