Fort Worth Zoo

I LOVE the Fort Worth Zoo! Love it. Granted our little zoo here in town is great for toddlers and preschoolers, but I feel so sorry for the animals and the very limited space they have to roam.

The FWZ is huge (it took us 5 hours to walk through). Within the past 10 years they have renovated the land and landscaped to the natural habitat of the animals homeland. Plus there are some interactive exhibits.
African Savannah: zebra, hippo, giraffe, muskrat, warthog, penguins, rhino
Asian Falls: elephants, rhino, tigers, bears, parakeets
World of Primates: silverback gorilla, chimps and several others
Austrailian Outback & Great Barrier Reef: kangaroo, wallabee, shark, macaw
Texas Wild: Longhorn (adult and calf), petting zoo, mountain lion, bald eagle, white tail deer, bears, badgers, alligators, sea creatures

We had a blast. And the best part? We ran into my cousin and her oldest child. What a great surprise! LilE also loved the train ride.

When we got home we made a book of all the animals we saw. Ask her about it. I am sure she would love to show off her work!

I have a picture just like that of Weston and Ella! I went with the whole family to the zoo this summer. It's so much nicer than the last time I went.

We had a great time with LilE and KLee at the zoo. It had been YEARS since we had been. So glad we had a good excuse to go! We will have to go again.

Having been to both zoos you are talking about, I completely know what you mean about FWZ - it is awesome! Glad you had a fantastic time and got to stay so long. Love it all!
