Mountain Retreat

This year the staff was able to get away for the weekend at Ridgecrest. Friday night the wives were able to join them for the evening/overnight. Three of us headed out early and walked around Black Mountain, enjoying the shops and some chocolate treats!

After the staff finished their meetings, we headed out for a great dinner at the Grove Park Inn. After dinner we walked around a bit. Maybe one day we will be able to have a night away for more than just dinner. It was such a beautiful place.

After we returned to RC, several couples got together for games. Have I ever mentioned how much I love the staff at our church? We have really enjoyed the time we spend with them. And they all make me laugh so much!

Saturday morning we had planned to tube with the D's, but I decided that if jeans and a jacket weren't keeping me warm, I probably would not enjoy floating down the river in my swim suit! That is when we decided to take a hike at Montreat. The views were absolutely beautiful.
