First Day of School

"First day of school. Wake up, wake up. Come on, first day of school... Time for school, time for school, time for school, time for school. Boy, oh boy, oh boy...first day of school" --Nemo

After two years of PDO, LilE started K3 this year. I cannot believe my little girl is old enough to officially be in school, but the time is now. She is really excited about having Mrs. T for a teacher. I know she will have a great year and learn all kinds of new things.

The first day drop off was easy for me, since we had done it the last two years with PDO. The hardest part was pick up. Our school does the car pool line for drop off and pick up. The first week we were able to walk them to their rooms, but pick them up in the car pool line. Waiting in line and seeing these teeny kids waiting on parents just made it all so real that she wasn't just in PDO, but she really is a big girl in school. It is amazing how fast the time flies. It also makes me realize just how little time I do have left with her at home. I must make the most of every minute I have with her, teaching her the Truth so she will be equipped to enter the world grounded in her faith, even at 3 years old! They know so much more than we give them credit for! (I could go on and on, but I will save that for another time.)

You can read how I prepared for our first day of school over at Today's Housewife.
