Since our last family night in the kitchen, some prep work has had to take place for us to continue. The dough was made ahead of time and sat in the fridge for the proper amount of chill time. So, on with the show:
First, gather all your supplies.
Then sprinkle a little flour on your workspace and spread it around. Make sure some gets on you and the floor.
Roll out the dough.
Take a taste to make sure it tastes right. (By the way, it did taste right. She couldn't stop eating it! The remaining pictures were a chore to get because she wouldn't stop eating the dough--remember it was made with powdered sugar!!)
Next, use the cookie cutter to make pretty butterfly cookies.
Play around a little bit.
Look in the oven to see if they are ready to eat.
YUMMY! Just as good cooked!

FUN!!! I can only imagine that there was flour everywhere:) I love the one of her looking in the oven - that is what I do still when there is something yummy in there and I'm 26 years old!!
So fun and cute! Stone likes to look in the oven, even when there's nothing in there! I think he likes looking at his reflection, more than the contents of inside!
Can Emma make snickerdoodles with me next month?
looks like a good family night! I bet there will be years of cookie making and this was just a first...
I miss you all and wish I could try an emma cookie.xoxo
