How to Make Sugar Cookies, Part 1

First, you gather all your supplies and make sure they work properly.

Then, you sift the sugar to make it easier to mix.

Next, you turn on the mixer and watch the batter fly everywhere.

Measure a little of this and a little more of that...

Then stir it a bit more.

Finally, you must call for reinforcements because the flour is too hard to mix by yourself!

Well, family night didn't end on the BEST note (eating cookies), but we had fun watching Little E learn how to mix the cookie dough. She loved helping with the electric mixer. I made sure her hand was under mine the whole time! But, the dough must chill before we can roll it out and bake them. So we had to call it a night. Stay tuned for Part 2!

Looks like fun! I love the play-by-play that you did. It looks like you're taking pics for a cookbook or something. :) I know Emma will have fun eating the cookies later!

So much fun! Stone loves to try and see what I'm cooking, but rarely is Kevin home when I'm cooking dinner, so holding Stone in one arm and cooking with the other is quite hard! I actually never thought of taking pictures of the whole thing! You're so creative! LOVE IT!

What cute pictures! Precious Emma, so alert and attentive to each step. Getting to eat the results will most certainly guarantee that this activity will need repeating. Wonderful family night time!
