Where Are You Going?

The Sunday after Easter a new sermon series was started at church: Destinations.

After all, each one of our families is headed in a direction that has a final destination, right?

Are we on cruise control--getting up each morning, heading out the door, going to work, picking up the kids, eating dinner, and going to bed...repeating the same thing the next day?

I don't know about you, but I really do want more than this! I want to have a relationship with the God of the universe. I want to teach LilE all about Him and how much He loves her. I want her to have character that is pleasing in His eyes. I want the generations to come to also know Him, but in order to make that my final destination, I must be willing to head in that direction. I won't end up in Texas heading toward Maine.

This series has helped me realize that there are areas in my own life where I'm headed in the wrong direction and I need to make a change in the route I'm traveling. Yet I also know that there are things that need to change that I'm not even aware of. That's why I'm looking forward to attending the Destinations Conference on Sunday night, May 2nd from 5-8pm.
