What a Birthday!

What a fun and busy and yucky day we had for LilE's birthday! It was non-stop all day.

Who would have thought she would wake up at 1 am?? Oh yes. Ear ache. Ahh! Not today! It's her birthday! Gotta love Motrin! It can solve almost any problem. Especially at 1 am. After some more sleep, we went in and woke her up at 7:30 by singing "Happy Birthday." She loved it! She had the biggest smile on her face. Before leaving home we had a family party. She loved opening gifts from all her family! (Thanks so much for ALL the generosity!)

We then headed out to play with a friend. They always get along so well. And who doesn't want to spend time with friends on their birthday? After the play date we headed home to have quesadillas at the Birthday Girl's request. We followed that with a birthday donut for dessert. She was sung to once again, but had some candles to blow out this time.

Then it was off to the doctor. Indeed. Ear infection. First one in a long time. I am so thankful for a big girl who can now tell me what is wrong. It keeps me from having to guess. And I am thankful for Target pharmacy who even makes getting medicine "fun." And of course giving my girl lollipops for her birthday doesn't hurt.

That afternoon we headed out for a bit of P90X. LilE spent some time watching Toy Story while we were doing our thing. We headed back home to "freshen up" before going to the Birthday Girl's restaurant of choice...Chick-Fil-A.

Unfortunately, she fell asleep in the car. At 6:15. Poor girl. And the most fun of the day is still yet to come!
