Vacation, Part 2

Tuesday morning we set the alarm for a time I did not know existed and headed to the beach to watch the sun rise. It was well worth it! And then we spent the rest of the day on the beach. We did lots of searching for sand dollars and found quite a few. LilE was even able to hold a live starfish! (We also found living sand dollars and a horse shoe crab during the week.)

Wednesday was more time in the sun and we even ventured out with the bikes on the beach. Have I mentioned that we pretty much had the beach to ourselves? These pictures were taken at about 10 am.

Thursday we spent a large portion of the day in the sand and water. We thought we were going to have a week of rain and the weather turned out to be perfect. Since this was our last day we milked it for all it was worth. We prettied ourselves up and headed to Sullivan's Island for dinner.

Friday morning we got up and fed the turtles one final time before packing up and heading home. (Our house was located on a lagoon. Too bad we never saw the gator.)

We loved every minute of our trip. It was great to spend so much time relaxing, just the three of us. We can't wait to do it again!
