First Time for Everything

The summer is an incredibly busy time for the children's ministry at church, therefore vacations are hard to schedule when everyone else takes them. This year our family decided it was time for our first family vacation. Just the three of us. We headed to Isle of Palms mid-September. It was PERFECT! Great weather. Great house. Great family time.

I took just shy of 700 pictures. I narrowed it down to about 200. But I will still spare you and just show the best of the best. Aren't you glad?

After arriving Saturday night, we "slept in" and watched the Growing Graduates kickoff via the internet. Afterward, we headed out for day 1 at the beach. That evening we met some friends for dinner. They were nice enough to take some family pics for us.

Monday we spent the morning and afternoon on the beach. Daddy was able to get his kite out and fly it. (The last time he tried on the beach was disastrous.) That evening we went out for a bike ride. It was the first time I had ridden a bike since I learned to drive a car. I was a tidbit nervous, but it was much easier than I thought it was going to be. I actually really enjoyed myself.

There you have the first two full days. More to come...
