Santa's Coming

Before heading to Texas we make the trek to see Santa. I pulled out the picture from last year to show her what we were going to do. Last year Santa gave away cookies as we left. She was a little apprehensive, so she got hers before she left to help calm her nerves. While looking and talking about that Santa picture, she noticed she had a cookie in hand. While we were waiting in line, the conversation went like this:

Mommy: "Santa is going to ask you what you want for Christmas. What do you want him to bring you?"
LilE: "Cookies."
M: "You want cookies from Santa?"
E: "Uh huh."

As she sat in his lap he asked her if she wanted a baby doll. "No, I want cookies." Santa gave me a very puzzled look, to which I replied, "She's easy to please."
