Christmas, Texas Style

Each Christmas, my SIL and fam, host 'Christmas at the Stable'. They invite friends and family out to their farm and tell the story of Jesus' birth in the barn. It is very humbling to be in a barn and realize the sounds, smells, etc. that surrounded Mary as she gave birth. This year they went all out--Texas style! We ate beans and cornbread and sang Christmas carols to the tune of Texas songs! (The Eyes of Texas, The Yellow Rose of Texas, Texas, Our Texas, Deep in the Heart of Texas--those kind of songs...do they have those for SC? Or are we just really proud of our state?)

Anywho, it was REALLY cold that night!! LilE and Daddy got all decked out and headed to the barn. Aren't they cute?

It looks like y'all had fun. And yes, Texans are just very proud to be from Texas. We don't have songs like that :)
