I just realized I have not posted our BIG News! Back in March we started Potty Training. It was a rough couple of weeks, but now she is good to go...anywhere! Rarely do we have accidents. She has had some regression at nap time. I got tired of changing the sheets and washing the bumper (yes, it was still in at 2 1/2) everyday and I wanted her to take the full nap, so the pull ups came back out during nap. Night time is still calling for pull ups. After the fiasco in March, it may be a while before we cross that bridge. And I am completely okay with my 2 1/2 year old wearing pull ups to sleep.
Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, Daddy was putting LilE to bed one Friday night. She proceeded to tell him she wanted to sleep in a big girl bed (BGB). And so Daddy, without asking my opinion, says okay. She did a great job staying in bed. After we went to bed it hit me...Daddy is leaving town on Sunday morning...for a full week! What was he thinking?? She started getting out of the bed on Monday. Therefore the punishment began. Everyday. And the consequences weren't doing much for her. I asked all those who have gone before me in the BGB or BBB training and picked an idea to start with. The sticker chart. It took about two days and some mega-celebratory dancing for her to understanding how much we LOVED her obeying the rules. Ice cream is her favorite. For every so many stickers she gets to pick her favorite flavor. It has been about a week since she last got out! I am so proud of my sweet girl! I can't believe how fast she has grown!

SO sweet! W used a bumper in his BED until he was her age too....but J I have been too freaked out by everything so no bumber...no blankies....basically sheet and the kiddo in there.
aw! that's great that she is staying in now!!! I am dreading RC going in his BBB. Punishment doesn't seem to work for him either, I might try the sticker thing for him too!
Punishment....ahhh... does it EVER work?!?!?! Even S doesn't respond at one year old! I'm glad LilE is doing well and responding to the stickers and ice cream approach! We may have to try that too when we have to cross the BGB ordeal:)
She looks so big in her bed!! She's growing up! You take a lot of pics of her sleeping... I'm too scared. I like nap time.
#1 took his nap for the first time today without a Pull-Up on. I don't think it's anything to rush! Great job little E (and Mom and Dad too!)
