We are getting away as a family in the very near future. I am in need of a new book to read. Preferably fiction. Any suggestions??
PS--a couple of new posts should be up in the next couple of days. I am waiting on one thing...argh!

I just finished The Dwelling Place and I enjoyed it. I liked it a lot b/c it was set in Atlanta and Hilton Head.
Everyone is talking about the Shack. But as a mom, I don't think I can go there right now.
I read Blackstock's series Cape Refuge a while back and they are really good. I think there are 4 of them and a pretty fast read. I usually don't like series books, but these were good. I also like any of the single books (not series ones) from Francine Rivers. Are you going to check them out from the library?
Safely Home by Randy Alcorn is one of the best books I've read this year! I couldn't put it down. It's a fiction book about a family in the persecuted church in China and a part of the proceeds from sales goes towards that region. It was wonderful!!!
I just finished Same Kind of Different as Me. It's a true story, but I couldn't put it down. The 2 people in the story live in Ft. Worth, so you will be familiar with the setting.
