Beach Getaway

After Daddy returned from Brazil, he headed to work for just a few days. We then packed up with It's A Mom Thing and headed to the beach for the weekend. A much needed time of R&R with family and friends. We left after church on Wednesday night and arrived around midnight. Thursday morning we got up and headed to downtown Charleston and walked around Waterfront Park. As we were heading back to the car to grab our picnic lunch to eat in Battery Park it started to rain. On to plan B. We headed downtown to the Visitor Center to see if they had a place where we could enjoy our sandwiches. While there, IAMT got hooked up with a great deal! Free tickets to the SC Aquarium and $50 to The Noisy Oyster! Friday morning ITAM headed out to listen to the 90 minute time share talk to get all the free stuff. We then made our trip to the Aquarium, headed back to the beach house for naps and then back downtown for dinner! Friday night, after the girls went to bed, we spent the evening out on the porch with hot chocolate, cheesecake, and the heater. It was a nice evening getting to know friends even more. Who knew how much my life would change when I woke up on Saturday morning! Too keep a long story short, Daddy's back is messed up and he gave me quite the scare! T$'s mommy and daddy quickly became our HEROES!! (We cannot thank you enough!) At that point the weekend was no longer relaxing, but fortuately we had two GREAT days away from the hustle and bustle of real life.
