Down In The River To Pray

Sunday afternoon we had a first in our church's history...Outdoor Baptism! What an awesome afternoon! Over the last several months, there have been numerous Christians (74 to be exact)who have publicly stated they need to be obedient to Christ's call for Baptism.

Romans 6:4 says, "we were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."

There were many adults, children, and families who came into the waters to show this outward sign of an inner change that has taken place.

This is the start of, hopefully and prayerfully, a time of revival within the people of our church. To begin, we had this baptism service (which they did play the song you hear--turn up your volume--as they were walking into the water). Monday was a day of prayer and fasting. What an amazing time spending the day without distractions of food, Internet, TV, whatever you chose to fast from, to focus on God and His Word! He is in the process of drawing me to Himself. I am excited about where He is taking me. Monday night I went to Bible Study with the girls. It is just awesome how God is intertwining all areas of my life right now...all to focus on Him and for me to have a personal revival back into His loving arms!

What an uplifting, worshipful service that must have been. You will use this day as one of the spiritual markers in your life. We continue to pray for you and John and your ministry at Taylors.

Thank you for sharing this amazing, God lifting experience and the song really touched my heart. I thank God for how He is blessing you, J, and E where He has called you to serve Him. Praying for you as you continue in your "growth".
