Holiday Travels

This weekend Mimi and Pop headed east for a mini getaway. Mimi and Mommy hit the stores while Little E napped on Friday. We got some curtain backing for some material I have had for a while. Now I just need to start sewing! After Little E woke up, we headed up to Charlotte to eat dinner at Frank Manzetti's with my cousin and her hubby. On the way home, we couldn't help ourselves and stopped at The Cheesecake Factory for some dessert! Tasty!

Saturday we just spent time around the house. Mimi and I shopped a little more. Nothing too exciting. We watched Shooter after Little E went to bed. Good movie!

Sunday was a regular church day. After naps (and we all took a long nap) we went to a cookout with our small group. Mimi and Pop went with us and enjoyed the fellowship.

Monday we played outside and watched everyone mow their yards. Little E has learned that sound well. And you guessed it, Mimi and I shopped some more and got fall clothes for Little E.

It was a great holiday weekend. As always, I wish it could last longer and wish we could see them more often. But God sees the entire picture and knows what we are all to be learning during this phase of our lives. Good news! We do have a ballpark idea of our next two trips home! That makes the leaving so much easier!!

So glad Mimi and Pop had a great trip. It was good to see them on Sunday. I know they love coming to town to see you guys.

I love the Cheesecake Factory, but you know. . .I don't think I have ever eaten dessert there b/c I am always so full from the great dinner.
Anyway--I am glad you had a wonderful time with your parents. I know they LOVED their time with their baby girl (both of them)!
You look so pretty in all the pictures.
I hope I get to see you this weekend!

It is so nice that your parents are able to come see you as often as they do (even if it doesn't seem often enough or long enough)! Glad y'all had a good time!

We had such a good time with all. Little E calling us by name is just too special. She knows how to make us feel special.
