Birthday week is a tradition we learned from Just Me and the Boys. What a great tradition! This year birthday week start on the 4th...3 days before my actual birthday! I had some heart friends take me to lunch. Since the 4th was the first day of PDO (it's a new post, just a little late), it was just us girls! After the morning I had, time with friends was much needed! We headed to Janet's for a great meal and, of course, cake! She has the best desserts! Thanks much for a great date girls!
Friday now comes. Well, working on your birthday isn't always bad, but this year...no one knew it was my birthday. And it was my last day at that office. But I won't go into that!
When I got home after work my wonderful husband had flowers waiting for me. Not only flowers, but roses! My favorite! There were 12 red from him and one pink from Little E! He said she really wanted to get the pink ones. He wanted red, so they compromised! I love it!
Then a couple of hours later, the doorbell rings about 5 times (once is all I need and by the way, my baby is asleep!). But it was a floral delivery man! More flowers from my sweet parents!
Daddy and I just relaxed and watched a movie while Little E was sleeping. Once she got up, we had to get ready for a evening at church. We both had to attend a teacher training meeting. I was in one meeting and Daddy was leading another. So that was a real happy birthday to me. At least dinner was provided and I didn't have to cook (although chicken on the bone is pretty close to the bottom of my list for birthday/or any meal). When I arrived in Daddy's meeting place I had more flowers from Rhonda! Thanks for making the night at the church more fun!
Saturday I had a couple of bridal showers for my sweet friend who is getting married in October! It was a fun day with her, but I don't count it as birthday celebration. But my house smells of all the flowers from those I love, so there are birthday reminders all around!
But wait, there's more coming week two!!
