Little E's cousin has a heart condition called HLHS. In order to make his heart work, he requires a series of 3 surgeries to rework the plumbing of his heart and lungs. The first was performed before he came home from the hospital at birth, the second at about 6 months, and the last one this week at 2 years. Daddy, Little E, and I went to visit him at the hospital while in Texas. It was amazing how great he looked after the final surgery (he was pink because he now has more oxygenated blood flowing through his little body), but it was so hard to see him hurt so much from all the tubes stuck in him. He is a very active little boy and he was just lying as still as could be.
His mommy and daddy are so brave! I can't even imagine what they have been through with this warrior son of theirs. But how great that they are completely reliant on the Lord and the strength only He can provide to get them through each and every day. I ask you to pray with my family for Cousin and his mommy, daddy, and baby sister.

Everyone was really glad to see you guys at the hospital. I'm glad you could be there, and wish GP and I could have been too! (Oh, and he should get moved to a room today, they took the last tube out of his chest this morning)
