Snow Day

Today is the first day Little E has ever seen snow! What a huge milestone! Okay, so maybe not huge. Just a small first. We stood her up by the front door to look out and she didn't really seem too amused. Maybe because it was naptime? Or was it because it looked like the snow in Texas--just enough to cover the ground, but the grass is still sticking out the top of the snow!

It was a very lazy morning for us. Little E let us sleep until about 9:30. Then she started crying because she was so hungry she couldn't stand it! I think she had been up for awhile because she ate her cereal and did her breathing treatment. She was yawning and rubbing her eyes before we were done! And that was at 10:15! I took her to her room and put her in the crib and she belted it out! She never cries that much when I put her down. So we then went to rock for a bit. She just snuggled up with me. It was the best feeling!
Daddy has the day off as the streets are white and it is still sleeting and below freezing. He will take advantage of the day off and scrap glue and mold off the bathroom floor.

I am glad you guys are getting a fun snow day to relax and get things done around the house. There is no snow here, but it is yucky!

Great picture...such innocence and wonder as she makes new discoveries of the world around her. Mom and Dad enjoy "seeing the world through the eyes of a child".....such a special joy!
