Na na na na, Na na na na

Hey, Hey, Hey, Goodbye!

So long paci! Last Tuesday night was Little E's last night with the paci! A few weeks ago she started calling it by name, "pa". That was it! Moms keep telling me it is easier to do it now than to wait another year. Therefore, it has been done. At church I have been telling her teachers so they don't look for it and wonder. This Sunday morning one teacher said, "She's so little." Yes, she is little, which is why I am doing it now. But like another mom said, "You are the mom." So as cruel as it may be we are paci-less! She whined a little bit on Wednesday night, and naps are a little more rough. She screams when I put her down, BUT it is less than a minute. I timed it the other day! (48 seconds) She still has her fishes (who need batteries--they aren't swimming or singing right now), puppy, and most importantly taggie! Isn't she so cute?!?

Good move! I waited too long with Elizabeth to take away the pacifier, and then kept waiting and waiting. She was 20 months before we got rid of hers and it caused multiple nights of drama. Glad that is over! Anna gets hers until we get home from our travels and then it is gone too!
I have a love/hate relationship with pacifiers! :)

Emma is such a cutie!

YEAH another BIG girl step toward toddlerhood! I too had a love/hate affair with the paci or binkies as I grew up calling them-we thought my neice Zoe would go to 1st grade with her bag...YES bag of 6-8 that she carried around with her--
You GO E to the A!!!

Very sweet picture! I don't really know much about the pacifier b/c they always made Hannah gag, but from what I can tell, you did the right thing. Just be sure to hide them well or throw them all away. My neices "rediscovered" theirs at 3-years-old when they found some in the toy box. They were over 4 before they got rid of them again.

You Go J & K! She is so sweet when she is awake and peaceful when sleeping. Give her kisses, miss you all! xoxo

Good call! We're gearing up for the "Paci Coupe" of 2007. Pray for us, I'm afraid it's going to be rough.

Way to hang tough Alexanders! Your dad was the emphatic one with you and I have to say on your first birthday your paci was gone, forever! Blake threw us a curve....no paci, but that thumb was with us for awhile! Can't wait to CELEBRATE the big B'day! Love you all.....

Good move - could be a blessing on the teeth (so say the SLPs).
