Daddy and I have several friends who are apart of the International Mission Board (IMB) of the Southern Baptist Convention. This is the organization that organizes, trains, and funds over 5,000 full-time missionaries around the globe. As you can imagine, this is a massive undertaking. The only way it is possible is through people, like you, who give generously and sacrificially.
Each December the IMB holds its annual Lottie Moon Christmas Offering (LMCO). 100% of the funds raised goes directly to the field to support missionaries. No part of the offering goes towards overhead or administrative costs. This year's goal for the 2006 offering is $150 million.
How can you help our friends spread the Message of Salvation through Jesus Christ to the nations? Giving to LMCO is an excellent way. As believers, we have all been given the mandate to take the Good News of Jesus Christ to the nations (Acts 1:8). Please pray and ask if this is how you are to be apart of furthering the kingdom.

Currently, of the 6.5 billion people in the world, 2.6 billion have yet to hear the message of Christ. Much work has been done, much is left to do.
