Daddy's Family Reunion

We arrived to Texas Monday, December 18th. My parents picked us up from the airport and met Daddy's mom half-way to her house. We spent the entire week in Wichita Falls. It was great relaxing and spending so much needed time with family. Little E took to everyone! I loved seeing her play with aunts, uncles, and cousins. Much needed for me to see how much she loved them all, especially "Bec." She also loved the bird, or 'bu', but that is another story in itself!

Christ's birth was celebrated on a couple of occasions, one on Friday night and the other Sunday morning. Friday night the G's hosted Christmas at the Stable. This is Daddy's oldest sister. They live on a farm with a horse, four donkeys, some goats, three cows, lots of chickens, a couple of roosters, and a dog (sorry if I left any out). But what a site to enter their barn and to see all the hay with a manger in the middle holding a sweet baby. Even before the story and music I was touched. Touched to know this is where my Savior was born.

The other celebration was on Sunday morning. All the family was together for the first time in almost 2 years. Jess quoted Luke 2 to remind us of the real reason for celebration.
