This year we were unable to go home for Thanksgiving. I think this is the 4th year we haven't been with family. Four years ago I was scheduled to work, but got really sick (and what a bum holiday to be sick on). The last three years we have been in SC. We are so thankful for our family, but we are also thankful for our friends who have allowed us to spend this special day with them. This year we were able to celebrate with family and with friends. My cousin G and her husband GP drove down from NC and spent the afternoon/evening with us. We all went and celebrated with the C family. It was definitely a mix of families, but we are all part of the body of Christ. What a blessing to be in a home filled with fellow believers! And how thankful I am that He is the Savior of my life! I can't imagine life without Him!

Glad that you were able to be with some of your family on Thanksgiving. Knowing that you can join with your friends and their families on these holidays away from home makes our hearts a little less sad.

Being away from my family I understand and my mom has said many times how thankful she is for TFBC and our church family. We were glad to have them.
John,Kendra and Emma are my family now too.
