Guess we should have started the applesauce first! After the game last Saturday Little E started coughing. It was nasty for a couple of days. Called the pediatrician and started her on some OTC cough syrup. Wednesday was the worst day. She just felt poopy all day. Thursday I thought she was all better (she looks okay in the video, right?). Today she woke up with a tight cough. So, we took her to the doctor. AND...she was wheezing. AND...she has an ear infection. He gave her a aerosol treatment (Xopenex) and also gave her an antibiotic for the ear infection. Stinky week all-in-all.
So a positive update: She is now eating green beans (only mixed with something else), squash, sweet potatoes, peas, carrots, peaches, and bananas. She will start another fruit (probably applesauce) tonight or tomorrow. She hasn't showed favoritism for one over the other. She is a good eater!
As for the days of stranger anxiety, I believe they are among us! She was really bashful around the staff at the doctor's office. They all thought she felt bad, but when they left the room she was laughing at the 'baby' in the mirror and she loved the table paper. Crinkly!! When we are at home I can't walk out of the room without hearing a scream/cry behind me. Oh sweet Little E! It is nice to know I am loved. Daddy has done a great job of keeping her happy today. She loves her daddy!
Anywho...she is okay. We will update if things change. She will be one drugged up girl tonight!

So sorry to hear of Emma's illness. She is so precious and also blessed to have wonderful parents. Will keep each of you in my prayers.
Hope Emma is better today. Moms never like it when their children are ill......we often feel so helpless. But, fortunately, babies bounce back rather quickly in most cases. Give her a hug and kiss from mimi and pop. Hang in there mom and dad....you're doing a great job!!
